Dr. Subhedar has 25 years of experience in the field of pain
management and specializes in acute and chronic pain management, cancer
pain, neuromodulation, vertebral fractures, opioid detox treatments and
alternative approaches to pain management including acupuncture.
Dr. Subhedar is board-certified in pain management, anesthesiology and disability analysis. He also holds a certification from New York State as an acupuncturist. Dr. Subhedar served as the Director of Pain Management Services at
Ramapo Anesthesia and Pain PC (RAPC) in Suffern, NY for the past 22 years. He is known
for his clinical expertise as well his research and writing in the field of pain management. He
published a book on “Patient Controlled Analgesia”, along with several journal articles, and has
lectured at national and international conferences about alternative approaches to chronic pain
management.
He is committed to advancing the modernization of pain management by acting as the
Chairman of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee at Good Samaritan Hospital as well as
participating in the hospital’s Radiation Safety Committee since 2006. Dr. Subhedar has been
also been awarded the best teacher honor three times as an Attending Anesthesiologist from
the Department of Anesthesiology at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY.
Dr. Subhedar received his medical degree from Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical
College in Kanpur, India, graduating top of his class. He performed his internal medicine
internship at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the Bronx. He completed his residency
in Anesthesiology CA-3: Pediatric and Obstetric Anesthesia at New York Medical College in
Valhalla, NY.
